BIO
Mike Krum is, in essence, the joining of artistic forces between accomplished guitarist, composer, and producer Dave Chiappetta and the startlingly talented singer-songwriter Mike Krumholz. With their new four-piece rock band, they bring back the infectious, energetic and credible alternative pop rock that has been missing from the current musical landscape - and they do so with a roar. Evoking comparisons to "Vedder or Cornell, Krum can play like a rocker reformed or a bard outraged." Yet, conversely, his unique crooning vocals and tempered songs would also make one of Krum's major influences, Jeff Buckley, proud.
Already receiving praise and garnering attention in New York City on the strength of their captivating live performances at such venues as The Mercury Lounge and the Knitting Factory, Mike Krum is set to make their West Coast debut with shows in San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco this April. They'll also return to the studio armed with a batch of newly crafted songs for their first full-length LP, teaming up with frequent collaborator and engineer Doug Derryberry (Dave Matthews Band, Ben Folds Five), and aiming to expand on the sound that made their self-titled EP an irresistible announcement of Mike Krum's arrival. |
