BIO
After taking time off from the entertainment industry to finish school, the beautiful and talented Antonella Barba is back and poised for a successful future.
Barba released her first major single, “Jersey Girl,” in May 2010. With the sudden New Jersey craze in the media, Antonella co-wrote the fun, summer anthem to show her true homegrown Jersey girl roots. The song gives props to current Jersey shore clubs, beaches, people, hobbies, and hangouts, all while maintaining a catchy pop vibe and appeal.
Antonella was first seen on television in January 2007 during the 6th season of FOX’s smash hit, American Idol. With her smooth voice and gorgeous looks, Barba took center stage, taking advantage of the publicity surrounding her, and making it all the way to the Top 16 of the famed music competition series.
In addition to her music, Antonella is also pursuing a career in television, film, and Broadway.
Upon her exit from American Idol, Barba has made numerous television appearances; including The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, Access Hollywood, and TV Guide’s Idol Stars: Where are they Now?
Antonella’s talents have allowed her to perform at interesting locations and events around the world, including for the NY Knicks at Madison Square Garden, the world’s most famous arena in New York City. Barba also sang the National Anthem at the Wired Safety Summit in Washington, DC. Growing up, the first soprano traveled to London, England to perform at the International Children’s Choir Festival.
In March of 2008, Antonella became the spokesperson for ElectionMall’s Voter Space. On election night, she hosted ElectionMall’s Non-Partisan Young Voters Party just blocks away from the White House in Washington, DC.
Antonella graduated from The Catholic University of America with a BS in Architecture in May of 2008. She currently resides in Point Pleasant, NJ. In her spare time she enjoys dancing, violin, piano, drawing, and teaching young aspiring singers and musicians.
With loads of talent, beauty, and intelligence, 2010 should be an exciting time for the strong willed Barba. |
